More Cabinets for the Kitchen

This past weekend I took the parts needed to assemble more cabinets for the kitchen. These cabinets will hang on the wall. Hopefully, in combination with the under counter cabinets, we will have enough storage space in our cabin. Only time will tell.

Delivering Boards

A quick trip up to our property to deliver and work on some pine boards for the ceiling. I bought about twenty 12′ long tongue-and-groove pine boards and used the trailer to get them up to our cabin. We’ve decided to leave the pine boards natural, but each board needs to be sanded so that the surfaces are uniform. After sanding we use semi-gloss clear Spar Urethane to put on the boards. The spar urethane does not have the odor that you typically get from poly-urethane, but it does take a bit longer to dry. I really like the character of the pine boards that you can easily see once they have a coat of urethane finish.
